TRF & Trail Riding

Who are We

Riding with Cumbria & Craven Trail Riders Fellowship

‘We are a diverse group of local people; both male and female, all ages and from a wide range of backgrounds with a common shared passion – maintaining, riding, conserving and sharing our ancient green road network.

We make positive contributions to our local communities through business, teaching, supplying goods and volunteering amongst other valuable services.

We can also be found walking, climbing, cycling, paddling and generally embracing the places we are fortunate to have on our doorsteps.

In addition to riding green lanes we actively maintain and conserve them and liaise with the police, local authorities and other stakeholders to reduce illegal and anti social behaviours.

We ride, and expect our members to ride in accordance with the TRF code of conduct: TRF CODE OF CONDUCT

Riding with us

In addition to an appropriate bike with appropriate (knobbly) tyres you should carry the means to fix your own punctures and the tools to carry out basic fixes (tool kit, duct tape, cable ties). In essence you should be self sufficient. The run leader will generally have a good tool kit and a first aid kit. We will all of course rally round if there is a problem but this should not be counted on.
