Steve Stout TRF accolade
Steve Stout has been awarded lifetime membership of The Trail Riders Fellowship for his services to trail riding at regional level through Cumbria & Craven TRF and at national level through The Trail Riders Fellowship
Steve held the Chair position at CTRF for 3 years and now acts as the Rights of Way Officer for the northern part of the county. He has specialised in building positive relations with the Lake District National Park Authority and Cumbria County Council representatives to try to mitigate the ongoing negative criticisms of trail riders and trail riding in general and the poor condition of the green lane network which is mainly down to a compete lack of plans, funds and or budgets over the last 30+ years.
Steve has a strong belief in teamwork and as there are virtually zero formal maintenance works carried out on the green lane network across England and Wales, he has used that ethos to try to generate a steady stream of repairs across Cumbria, working with the various authorities, land owners and user groups.
