Walna Scar Road
Permanently closed to motorised traffic.
This road was lost to the green road user group in 2011 after a long court case, which was won at first, then it went to appeal and was lost on a technicality. The Lake District National Park Authority closed the road and it is now enjoyed by other user groups.
This was and still is a sad loss to the motor vehicle user group and is still fondly reminisced over many a pint in a local pub!
