DESCRIPTION:Remote Area First Aid Course\nOutline and Syllabus \nOperated by M-Power (not Haggs Bank) \nAvilable to TRF members only. \nThis course is ratified by the Overland Guide Association. This course is written for the motorcycle trail rider\, specific motorcycle injuries and concerns will shape this course syllabus. \n\nAssessments of scenes and casualty\nAirway\, breathing and circulation assessments\nEmergency resuscitation (including use of AED’s)\nSafe airway positions including helmet removal.\nDealing with choking\nTreatment of severe bleeding and shock\nMajor injuries\, including chest\, head\, and pelvic injuries\nTreatment of fractures\nEnvironmental injuries such as hypothermia and hyperthermia\nLife threatening conditions such as heart attack\, asthma\, diabetes\, strokes\, seizures\, burns and anaphylactic shock\nInjury management in an outdoor situation\nProlong care of a casualty in remote setting whilst waiting for emergency service\nMoving and carrying a casualty\n\n  \nThere is the option to stay at Haggs Bank overnight if required/desired.
